Destination by Design partners with Watauga County, NC to develop a countywide wayfinding system catered to major locations and recreational activities in the area. DbD delivered a final plan that detailed every aspect of the system—from conceptualization and custom illustration to manufacturing, construction, and installation specs.
Custom Panel Design
Reflecting the Landscape The DbD design team created fully customized front and back panels for this signage package. The five major themes used for the front graphic panels are references to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, the New River, Elk Knob, and Downtown Boone’s Main Street. The back graphic panels feature five different activities often practiced in the high country: skiing, river padding, hiking, fishing, and mountain biking.
From Concept to Construction DbD guided the sign development process from concept to construction, providing detailed construction documents for sign engineering and installation.
